About One Door North

At One Door North, we celebrate the spirit of adventure - an outdoors inspired bar and eatery where wood, greenery, tents, warm lighting, and craft cocktails come together to create a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Our guests dine with us for the food and drinks, but they return because of how our team makes them feel.

Our Host & Guest Experience Coordinator is the first and last impression of the restaurant.  They are the person who sets the tone, manages the flow, and ensures every guest feels genuinely cared for. This is not a “stand at the podium” host role… it’s a dynamic, hospitality-driven position for someone who is smart, intuitive, organized, and confident.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and a sense of fun.

• Manage reservations and the flow of the floor using OpenTable with accuracy and strategy.

• Communicate guest needs, special occasions, and preferences to servers and managers.

• Maintain pace of service by coordinating timing between tables, FOH, and bar.

• Assist with table touches, guest notes, and post-dining thank-you’s.

• Support the team with polishing glassware, running food, bussing tables, or assisting the bar as needed.

• Help keep the host stand, entryway, and dining room tidy and organized.

• Say goodbye with the same care and energy as the greeting.

• Be the calm center when the room is busy — anticipate issues before they happen.

• Comfortable using OpenTable (or quick to learn).

• Able to multitask while staying calm and upbeat.

This role is ideal for someone who sees hospitality as a craft and understands that the host stand is the “command center” for the dining room.

Skills & Experience

• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms preferred.

• Previous hosting, concierge, or guest services experience a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong situational awareness and ability to adapt quickly.

• Ability to support small side tasks (glass polishing, seating resets, greeting, etc.).
